Although rather faint, this 2009 P Formative years cent shows signs of doubling under Lincoln's left thumb. Could this recent find be a DDR from that year which has eluded me for so long? Thanks for any help with this.

Check out Wexler's 2009 FY WDDR-002. It might match. If it is a match then it is the same as Coppercoins 1DR-007 and Crawford CDDR-001.

Yes, check the listings to make sure. And here is a tip on getting photos with a lot less glare. Put a thin white shirt or piece of paper to diffuse the light going to the coin, between the coin and the light source.

Thank you all. I'm having internet issues or I would have thanked you sooner. I appreciate your advice on capturing images SilverStackerKid, I think this is a better view, although a little dark perhaps.

I've been studying http://doubleddie.com/60701.html since posting this coin and I am convinced, to near certainty, that this coin is stage A of WDDR-002. I'll post compelling proof when I finish drafting the post. Until then, I am curious if there are more of you who believe it is something other than WDDR-002? And who may be willing to agree with what I have said; before seeing the proof I am suggesting I have found? As it stands, this coin is definitely one of the top ten, (probably top five) best coins I've ever found; "hunting", and that makes me a pretty "happy camper" at this time. I hope happy times are ahead for us all, as often as we may -- because it just feels so darn good. Cheers.

Looking closer at this die revealed to me a new thought. I always thought the left and fingers created the hub doubling on this die. Not seeing a correlation of what it should be, I used an overlay to help understand this. The hub doubling is not from the left and fingers, but it is from the right and fingers. Learn something new everyday. 1
