What does Verdi-Care do? If you read the label it's straight forward, talking to other collector's some say it removed verdigris and other say it did not help at all. 1) Once used does it prevent verdigris from forming on copper coin's? 2) Is just for removing verdigris from coin's only? 3) Should I swap all of my cleaned coin's with Verdi-Care
I'd like to hear from people who have used this stuff and what they use it for and what they think of the produce, does change the color of a copper coin?. I don't want to be known as the guy who doctor's his coin's but at the same time verdigris is a killer of coin's

1) Once used does it prevent verdigris from forming on copper coin's? YES 2) Is just for removing verdigris from coin's only? NO, VC will remove other surface residues too. It also prevents corrosion from occurring. 3) Should I swap all of my cleaned coin's with Verdi-Care If your coins are stored properly, you shouldn't need to do this. A Few more questions. If I give my coins a soak and let them to dry on a micro fiber cloth or something? Will I have to worry about them Sticking to the cloth? Should I place them on a set of toothpicks? Will the color be different where the coins come in contact with the tooth picks/cloth?

I can relate. In my case I didn't know much about it or how to use it either. For a few bucks for a small bottle, it was more than worth it to experiment for myself and see what it could do for me. The fun of messin' with it is worth the price alone, not to mention the help it can give to coins

You can dry them on any surface, it doesn't matter.
Will I have to worry about them Sticking to the cloth?
VC is not tacky, your coins will not stick.
Should I place them on a set of toothpicks?
If you want, it won't hurt.
Will the color be different where the coins come in contact with the tooth picks/cloth?
NO, VC will not alter the color of your coins. I usually just use a paper towel during the drying process.

Hopefully this isn't too old to bump up. Where's the most economical place for us up here in Canada to order from? Wizard? It's the shipping that's expensive.

You know, I'm usually about bumping old threads but this is a good exception to the rule. Guaranteed Thad will see it's been bumped and respond personally, and in the meantime some new readers get exposed to the answer to a question which gets asked every month or two anyway. Good job.

Quote: It's the shipping that's expensive. Yes, almost $16 with ebay global shipping program and taxes to Canada. Try Wizard, they only charge actually shipping I think. As I remember, they charge a big number and then reimburse you later for actual.

Thanks BadThad. I figured Wizard was the best way to go from previous threads but thought I'd ask anyways. Just put in an order. Looking forward to trying it out.
