Looking for opinions on grade, please. Seller claims it has mint luster, just can't see it in the scans. What does the community think?

Hmm, personally, I didn't think it even reached AU. Let's see what others have to say.

I avoid coins where the only image is a scanned one. Cleaned? Definitely not UNC. AU at best.

Usually I do to, but I've been dealing with a lot of people overseas and, apparently, that is the way they image their coins. I'm.becoming accustomed to it, almost.

Before I had a scammer and tried to trade of sell to folks internationally, I wasn't able to because they all wanted scanned images.

Not that I bought this coin from on international seller, just saying I that I am getting used to scanned images.

Because of the scan it is hard to tell exactly where this coin falls grade-wise, as it is impossible (as you said) to tell if there is any remaining luster.

However, it does appear to be cleaned, so based on the current photos I'm going to say AU details - cleaned.
Rest in Peace

AU50 Details. Cleaned. As for luster that's questionable. My guess is most of it is gone

I'm not sure that's cleaning. Appears very lusterous. I'll say AU 50/53.
