1888 Cracked Planchet - Coin Community Forum

Hounddog Bill Pillar of the Community Canada 1223 Posts	Posted 06/20/2015 11:50 am I've been studying 1888 large cents for a few years now and in doing so have come across a few different or unusual ones. Here's a 1888 that has a broken planchet these are not all that common and rarer then a regular lamination problem. Can these be looked at as the same as a lamination error only through the coin instead of on the surface? Anyone else with a coin on a broken planchet feel free to show them here....I know I'd sure like to see some. Cheers, Bill Report this Post to the Staff
