Quote: Sweet pickups GR, but that guard puppy's the real show stopper! Yes .. he is a big hit at the coin shops .. I have to use what ever I can to get a better price Quote: That would sure defend your collection- even a robber would want to pet him/her! I friend of mine found him and gave him to me. His name is Felix. I think he is about 9 weeks Here is Felix when I got him, two weeks ago My bigger female, hopefully will teach him to guard my coins

Quote: I just saw some amazing morgans! Thanks I am sure I would not put most of these in better grade problem free coins ... But there are many better/harder date coins. That filled a lot of empty holes.

Lovely coins, GR58! Great pickup. I love the cameo toning on the 1881 CC.
Hope your cute 'attack dog' is at least as effective as my 'attack cat'!

Thanks NumisRob
The 1881 CC was a coin I knew I was going to buy as soon As I saw it.
I think it looks better in hand ...than in the picture.
To me a nice problem free VF and original looking coin.
Well there is the hit on the chin ... But it looks great in the album.

Great additions, and super pictures, no apologies necessary. I only wish I could post pictures of that quality. As much as I like this forum, the one thing I'd like here, that is on one of my other forums that I belong to, is a "like" button. I'm more of a voyeur, and I normally have a dog laying on my arm, preventing me from typing and responding, but I can always scroll and "like" a post on my other forum. I know it's not going to happen, but I see so many post on here, that I seldom have the time to reply to.

There were boxes and boxes and many albums.
I was picking out of a two album set, like I am putting together. It was nearly a complete set, that I bought 13 from.
There were 2 or 3 Morgan's in the set I needed ... but they would have been over a $1000 more.
I passed on some nice coins, in other series. The coins I did pick up were quite a strain on my budget.

Quote:I ended up buying 13 Morgan dollars, not liking the number 13 Do not tell Bobby. I actually like the number thirteen. No triskaidekaphobia here. Quote: ... I bought the Ike .. so I could be at 14. I appreciate any and all reasons for getting an extra Eisenhower dollar! Excellent acquisitions!

Quote: Great acquisitions,I'm a bit jealous as I have no CC dollars. Interesting ....with all the nice coins you have no CC dollars ..... ---------------------------------------------------- It is nice looking at the albums today, with the new additions. Six more holes to fill, one common and five that are harder dates. Of the 13 Carson City Morgan dollars (there is that 13 again) I need one more, the 1893 CC. Looking at the 1899, in the NGC slab. The black marks on the reverse, bother me some. I am thinking of breaking it out of the slab and work on the black marks. ----------------------------------------------- If this set progresses likes my other sets. The harder coin(s) like the 1893S will not come right away. If I live long enough, many of the lower grade coins in this set will be upgraded. My hope is it will be a nice set I can pass down.
