My best coin spill to date! 6 seated and a shield all in one hole right here in Idaho! Aaaand... I FINALLY scored a CC. Not one but two! It gets better! Look up 1854 "Huge O" Seated quarter! Amazing day with Bill Hines#8203;#8203; Cody Holmes#8203;#8203; and Ryan Jamison#8203;#8203;

Too bad the 75 is the above the bow variety. What ever, it is a CC! The 76 is a better date too.

To just pull those out of the ground like that just blows my mind. That's some fertile hunting grounds, that's for sure.

So,I just have to ask. What is your method of detecting that you are able to find all the ponderous coins that you do?
I have been thinking, for a while, about purchasing a metal detector because I live within walking distance of two potential honey holes, or, at least I would think they would be honey holes.
One is a 19th Century hotel that has been abandoned for close to 75 years and the other is a very old (pre civil war) trolley stop. I would imagine a lot money changed hands or was lost at those two locations.
Are those the kinds of spots you search?
