cwb Pillar of the Community United States 3463 Posts	Posted 06/23/2015 11:26 am You could try using Acetone to clean it. Soak it over night and see what happens. Acetone evaporates quickly, so cover the container and keep it in a safe place, it's flammable too! Report this Post to the Staff

Try an acetone soak though, but don't get your hopes up. If organic, grease or dirt will help remove. If carbon spot(s) or corrosion will not improve it. If sure it's zincoln date from 1982 - 1992. Close up reverse could narrow it down maybe. That said a close up of the obverse may show something though or under the spot. Thanks, Doug. I always ask myself: "Would I buy that coin?" when looking at saving a coin. If not, then I may release it. Most collectors want to purchase the best coin possible.
