I thought it was fake, too. I thought that the design would be more pronounced, especially since the dies are closer on the quarter.

If it's fake, and not saying it isn't, how'd it happen? vise job? If that was the case wouldn't the design be incused instead of in relief?

How it *did* happen is not as relevant as how it *couldn't* have happened. One item on the latter list is, "in a US Mint press." Consider how coins are minted, and explain how both designs are equally strong.

Come on, guys. This is Minting 101.

Yes the size of the coin, too much of the rim is still there, mainly the strength of the design and the whole thing looks ridiculous along with the sellers story was a red flag...and does this coin really look uncirculated?

Not to mention the highly sub-par, slightly fuzzy pics. It went from $80 yesterday to $230 this morning to $530 now

Remember, nickel is not as malleable as copper, so the pressure from the quarter dies would not effect the coin more than this. I believe it is genuine, but also mint assisted.

You state this as a fact so please tell me how you know this for sure.

Just a quick search of, "is nickel harder than copper".

In addition, the nickel was not annealed again to make it soft for striking the second time. The image is not mirrored. And the dies are in proper alignment, no rotation. I drew the coin on a flash card to double check. I flipped it and saw that is was not rotated. The coin is very trippy which made me have to draw out the coin. This is quite though provoking.

You must be looking at a different coin than me, I don't know what else to say.

That in NO way translates to the "fact" you stated. Truth is you have no idea that "quarter dies would not effect the coin more than this," you're just guessing. Jelly beans are much harder than marshmallows, but 500 pounds of pressure squashes them both the same.
