Hello all:
Started collecting coins in 1970. Hit it hard and heavy for about four years, then slowed down on sorting and started putting keepers into bank bags and jars.
Now, 40 some years later, I decided to sort out all those jars and bags and put the coins into albums. What a mess. Three weeks later and I'm still working on it. What was I thinking?
Anyway, not really following the coin trends I've run into several questions, especially on the newer coins, and this looks like a great place to get reacquainted with numismatics and exchange information, so here I am.

 Welcome, Fred. I, too, was heavily "into" collecting for a few years from the 70's and early 80's, then stopped for about 30 years, and recently re-started collecting. I have also been sorting through old collections, "saved" jars, inherited stuff, etc., and getting back "into" it. The folks on this site have been *great* about answering questions, etc., and helping me re-start "into" collecting after a bit of a hiatus. The landscape has changed a bit. Dealers, professionals, collectors, and all mixes thereof are here. Ask away! Edited by Garoyn
