I took a small chance and bought a details coin. It was graded altered surfaces which of course can mean a lot of things. But usually is something applied to the surface fillers or lacquer. I liked the nice strike of this coin, so I thought I might be able to rehab this coin but I don't see anything wrong with the surface. Any opinions thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

It looks like it was wiped with a jewelers clothe. Not too badly though. You could get away with non details.

I think they saw those lines in the fields and weren't sure what to say. I think those are die polishing lines because they don't go on the devices like a cleaned coin and since near the devices they are seen instead of absent like on a cleaned coin. crack her and resubmit it to another TPG

Yes, I think they are die polish lines as well. Crack it out of that ridiculous holder.

The fields are clean, good cartwheel all around. The only surface issue I see is on the neck and cheek of liberty

you should crack it and resubmit it, not only for you and your wallet but for what the coin deserves.
