Its an 03 $5 SN DD 00032083 A. keep or spend

Also it it feasible to buy a brick of notes to get a low sn, such as 0000003. Heritage has some low sn's like that on newer notes, and at auction they are expected to go for 800-1500, And how do you actually get uncirculated bills, direct from the fed resv bank?

If the bill is in pretty good condition I'd kept it since it's only a 5

yes you can get a brick of consecutive bills from the bank, the possibility of them being super low serial numbers are rare though but you can get the brinks of notes there anyway to see, they will all be consecutive numbers

I've always thought of low serial numbers on bills like getting the first coins being minted. The die is perfect and clean and makes the most accurate imprint possible. As time goes on more and more imperfections and errors can occurs. *cough, Utah quarters, cough*

But this theory is just a pipe dream. Mainly because bill collectors also like large number bills. Find one with all 9's on it and they'd take notice as well.
