I picked up a bag of coins today at a garage sale for $25. Mostly included are wheat cents; at least 100 of them that I searched and scored mostly 40's-50's but a nice AU 1936 S and 1939 cent. Also included were two silver certificates, not surprising, and 5 1946 S Washington quarters along with some junk silver and a dateless S mint buffalo that I will treat later.

The 1946 S quarters are absolutely beautiful, grading a solid MS63-MS64 apiece, maybe even one of them grades a MS65. They were in a little separate baggy inside of the big bag of coins. I could probably flip them and sell the quarters for $10-15 apiece on ebay and make my money back and end up with free junk silver & wheat cents, which I'll probably just bring the cents to my LCS after I look for varieties and sell them for $0.03.

The best way to see if there are varieties on them is to look at them first. (maybe you have something new)

CPG shows one RPM. CONECA (older book) shows three RPMs in it.

Variety Vista show a RPM-008

So there must be at least eight listed there.

Maybe some inverted mint marks.

(don't get me started) LOL

Coneca has in its listing five DDO's and five rpm's for the 46-s quarter. Thought I had something to photograph to show but they were all Philadelphia mint varieties
