I have a 1834 Capped Bust half dollar graded AU 55. Its got great blue toning on the obverse. It has a small date, and small letters. There are several Overton #'s 109-121 possible and I'm no expert. Can anyone help me ID this CBH?

No, now I am thinking it is -2. Now let me see witch # it is. Is that a clash going on? I think it is 1834 O-119 R4

It is an O-117. Great looking CBH.

An easy way to quickly arrive at a reverse attribution is to look at the position of the olive branch stem over C, and the size and shape of C, and then go on to the I/T and scroll end positions etc. etc. Although I'm not holding myself up as an expert, this method works great for me. I still have to bang my head against the wall to get some of them, and I don't always get it right the first time.

It's a lot of fun.

There should be recutting on the A in states, and Iine 1 of stripe 2 in shield should go to the second crossbar. Should also be numerous crossbar lines running out into the Eagles wings on both sides of the shield. Also a centering dot below crossbar 3, which I do belive I see. If all above is true, its a O-117.
