The reference I'm using for this is "the Commemorative Trail," Spring - 1991 magazine.

Some of these are pretty tough. This makes me examine my coins more closely.

I'll leave the image up a few days then come back and give the answer.

. . . Bill Fivaz (LM-25, GA) Our old friend reports a newly discovered die-clash variety of a 1951-P Washington-Carver half dollar. . . Bill has also most kindly provided us with several sets of photographs from his slide series, "Name that Commem." The sets come in twoes, with the first photo being an extreme close-up (XCU) of some portion of a commem and the second photo showing the entire coin with the XCU area outlined on it. The object is for the viewer to look first at the XCU and to determine from what coin it is taken. Bill writes, 'It's fun, and it makes people realize that maybe they don't look at their coins quite as closely as they think they do!'

Worn Out is correct ...

The image shown is from the reverse of the 1936 Norfolk (VA) Bicentennial Half Dollar.

The flower petals with leaves and stem appear on the coin symmetrical to the centerline of the date '1636' on the coin.

Interesting that the original quiz did not include the 4th leaf ... chopped off in the photographs.
