I've had this for some time now and never really new what to mark on the 2X2. I think some is environmental damage but that blob above the "P" is part of the coin and now I've noticed the rim around the date. What's going on here?

Cheers, Bill

Die looks like it was about done for. Other than the chip, is that a partial collar?

Looks like a possible collar clash.

The dies a VLDS. You can see the heavy die flow lines on both dies. SO it is possible it is a die chip near the mint mark. Also a collar clash as mentioned.

I appreciate all the info and comments, Thank's to all.

Would this be a collectable error or just minor, interesting and a keeper but really of no value?

Cheers, Bill

DDD would be considered normal and the Collar Clash a minor error. The Die Deterioration patches (or what could be die chips) are normal to this stage of the dies.
