1970-S-LMC---Error-Or-Damaged?

1970-S-LMC---Error-Or-Damaged?

What do you think? Clipped planket coin or a damaged coin? Came in a uncirculated roll I bought. If it is an error - is it worth anything?

If the roll was truly uncirculated then it probably is a clipped planchet.

You can find similar ones on ebay to get an idea of what they've sold for. Grade matters and your coin is still red and uncirculated.

Looks like a LD but check for SD.

Lips of the clip appear tapered; a good sign that it is genuine.

This is the best I can get. Still struggling to figure out between LD and SD..

Liberty looks stuck fairly solid but I don't have a pic of that. I think that indicates LD though...

Let me know what you think, thanks!
