I found a dime that looks like a penny. It's like this on both sides as well as the edge.

You can almost see the actual color on his cheek. Its probably just environmental damage.

Someone has a hole in their pocket.
Did you dig the whole driveway up?

Lol no I just found this in my dime collection and thought it was unique and worth asking about. I do some research on Google before I ask but I don't always get a definite answer so I figured I'd try here since you guys know what you're talking about you know... Stop picking on me lol I'm just a mom with a new hobby ;)

cwb,

I dug up a huge portion next to the drive. About a foot wide and a foot deep for a good 30 feet. It took over a week to dig and chop out roots. They were a bear!

If you search my YouTube I have just made a video helping how to get clear photos of coins. I was having a lot of trouble trying to get mine to come in clear. Tried all settings and apps but nothing worked. I actually wanted to share the video here but idk where to post it and whenever I try to paste the link it doesn't seem to let me. If you know where or how I could share it it may help someone else who needs it. Just search Holly Nofront on YouTube and you'll see the video there.

new england collector,
That was about all I found except one 1944 cent that I remember. I went almost all the way up to put in a hedge. Sad thing is I never got time to put the hedge in and sold the house the next year. A lot of work for a lot of nothing ... except a bit of change.

New England collector, usually when you have a question about the composition of a coin, you can look on the reliefs; it wears there first and shows the true color. Cwb and Koinpro, as you may know I also metal detect- driveways are good spots for coins and anything else in people's pockets as they are always digging for their keys. They rest there until my detector goes beep beep.
