With the prices the Truman C&C sets are at now (and the possibility they go even higher being the lowest mintage RP and Pres. Dollar coins), and the prices of the 2013 RP/EU ASE 2 coin sets going about the same price on ebay... does that seem like a fair trade? I am thinking about it but also would have to find someone with extra ASE sets... need to catch up on the RP/EU stuff and for my overall type sets. Thanks for info and opinions!

Depends on where the Truman CC ends up. The 2013 RP ASE 2 coin set has been stable for a few years now, we don't know where the Truman set will end up. Right now they are comparable, but long term its hard to tell if its comparable.

True to both of those. I guess we would have to wait to see where it ends up. I guess at the very least I could try and sell one set on ebay and buy an ASE set on ebay since they are approximately same price. A bit to deal with but who knows? I may be very happy I did or kicking myself a little in the future. But honestly I don't see the price for the RP dollars going THAT much higher than they already are. I was surprised they got to where they did but we will see.

Mister Kairu,

I agree with CSOTUS and jbuck.

You can and should sell your Truman set on ebay to get the highest price.
However, for buying the ASE set, you should be patient as the price have been stabilized so you don't need to rush.
Also, you can try it on here too (put up you WANT-LIST).
For example, I do have a few extra graded 69 and 70 sets that I have been thinking of selling but haven't done so on ebay..... I rather sell to a fellow CCFer than on ebay.

I see... So in other words right now it would sort of be a gamble for the other person since the price is still hyped up on the C&C whereas the ASE set is pretty set. I will have to think about that and let me know if/when you were thinking of getting rid of any sets... I just need the two broken out for my silver coin album

The ASE set has twice the silver.
Laughed for a few minutes because we know someone would actually think that way.

But there is zero way I would trade a 17000 mintage special edition set and more than likely top 100 modern coin for a ASE set that is easily available.

Well my wife won't let me trade any anyways. I have to sell them to make up for some coin purchases earlier and then save up for a cruise next year ;P guess that answers that! lol
