Ok, so I was at auto zone yesterday and the guy in front of me had a ring up of $5.24... He then proceeds to pull out the two bulges from his pockets And after all the counting he was $1.53 short so he took a 3min trip to his car for more... I felt like and he's lucky he didn't look like #TheCentIsAlive&Well When he went to his car though at least I though I should get a pic for u guys Edited by Cascade 04/24/2015 12:23 pm

I can not read the sign on the counter because it's not written in English, but I think it says that there is a $20 limit if you pay your bill with coins.
You must be somewhere in the southwest. Were they U.S. coins?

It's a good thing he wasn't trying to buy $20 or more with pennies, to get his rewards.

And you didn't offer to buy the coins from him so you could hunt through them at home?

I didn't take a look. I'm sure they were all memorials though.

It's some kind of a rewards program. Spend 20, get 20. Nothing to do with coins... I'm with you, Cascade. &

When did Juarez, I mean El Paso South ditch the peso in favor of the Zincoln? I thought it was illegal to transport more than $1 in US coinage outside of the country to prevent them from all ending up in Nigeria or India or wherever they were being shipped to by the container load only to have the Chinese try to reship fakes back for the scrap metal value. No you can take any amount you what except cent and nickel five cent pieces which are limited to $5. But it you take over 10,000 dollars you must declare it.

The store could have refused the transaction, since it wasn't a debt "Legal Tender" rules do not apply. There is no reason to compel them to accept loose change on a purchase.

Awe....poor guy! I would have paid it for him. I've done this several times in life when someone in front of me comes up a little short....karma you know.
