I love Morgans but this would be one of those pinnacle types if you could afford it.

Yeah, the MS69 Morgans are truly impressive. I call them unobtainium.

That's about what we paid for our new van last year. Think it would have been big trouble if I had brought this home instead!

ChildOfTheWheat you don't have that kind of money to buy it anyway. You also have no clue as to the true rarity of this date at that grade level. If it were PL it would be at least a $60,000.00 coin.

Does it really matter if it's PL or not at this grade level? Most people can't afford it anyway.

Wow, and at a reasonable price too. I promised myself that I wouldn't pay over $28,500 for one of these.

That is a great coin shop in Houston, they have everything there, from the rarest of rare, to just plain bullion.

I actually thought an MS-69 Morgan would go for a lot more than that.

What a beauty, not a bad deal, Numismedia prices it at $31,250.

I'm guessing the seller is only using ebay for free advertising.

If sold; it would be through a private transaction or large auction house (Heritage, Stacks Bowers, Great Collections).

Gyrene, I was just kidding
Looks like a really nice coin that I will never afford to own. At least not anytime soon.
