I'm no expert at removing the green (ie..possible verdigris..?)
If you soaked that coin in a soft liquid soapy solution for a few minutes,..and then applied the hard tip of a pointed hawthorn (or rosebush thorn) to the green,..it might all be removed. ..(or not)
The hawthorn "should not" damage or scratch the hard nickel surface..I'm guessing..
I would then rinse the coin with a splash of rubbing alcohol and dry well with a dry cloth of kleenex.
No guarantees here when playing with verdigris and coins..
