Any sort of error on a Canadian blank is hard to find. Nice one!

How can you be certain the split blank is Canadian?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I can't be certain. Weighing it won't help because it is split. It is the same diameter as a Canadian 1 cent but who knows? I did buy it with some other canadian split planchets from a Canadian dealer and I am canadian and I post in the canadian error forum so we are gonna go with probably. Lol

That sounds about as Canadian as it can get, short of an XRF test.

My coin I have posted below was struck through a split blank planchet just like the one posted by robmck1967. Extra pressure from the split planchet laying on top caused the finning on the date side. Note the ghosting of the queen caused by being struck through the thinner split planchet.
