Noticed this for sale and might be interested. Not too familiar with error pricing. Seller asking $150.00. Is this too much or a fair price? Thanks for any help.
Well, I'm not so familiar with error coin pricing either, but I just gotta say that's one spectacular error. Usually, the worse the error is, the more $$$. Whether $150 is fair though, I don't know.
1996 was the first year of the twoonie and there were a lot of these errors with the misaligned core. I would say $50 is a good price but $150 is too much. One sold a few days ago for $52.
Value on errors depends on how dramatic they are. The OP's example is much more off center than the piece which sold for $52 recently on ebay. I'd value the OP's at around $100-120
