I am on my phone so I can't see e the pics of the eye too well. The OF is a common occurance and apears often in that area.

Maybe a Greaser on the OF. Can't tell anything about the eye.

Why is that? I am not asking why it is Struck Through Grease, but why does it happen so frequently at that point?

Just guessing that, with the letters being in lower case and possibly lower relief with more open space surrounding the letters, this area might be a logical flow point for excess grease.

I have to admit I've pondered this greasy looking result more than once. Wanted to add it also shows quite often on the STA of states. Sometime dips into the left and right side of E Pluribus. Leaving the path to the 12:00 position less affected.

Thanks, Doug.
