NGC - This eagerly anticipated coin features a High Relief Eagle design originally proposed for the American Silver Eagle.

The US Mint has announced that the eagerly anticipated 2015-W American Liberty High Relief $100 will go on sale July 30. The coin, which features a rendition of Liberty on the obverse and an eagle design originally proposed for the popular American Silver Eagle coin on the reverse, will have a maximum mintage of 50,000 pieces.

Struck from one ounce of .9999 fine gold, this is the first $100 gold coin ever issued by the United States. A high relief silver medal with the same design will be released later this year.

NGC has created a special American flag label to celebrate the release of these new American Liberty High Relief coins.

Submission Instructions

Select the Early Bird tier or higher and select Special Designation / Label and check either Early Releases or First Releases. Check the NGC website for Early Releases/First Releases cut off dates. Special Designation / Label is required for the American flag label even if Early Releases or First Releases is not desired or if coins are received after the cutoff date for those designations.

The default label will be NGC's American flag label.

If you would like Mint packaging returned, select "Return Mint Packaging" in section 3 of the NGC Submission Form.

Please note that NGC's First Day of Issue designation is available for bulk submissions only.
Rest in Peace

Has anyone ever added up how much it would cost to get just ONE of all the U.S. mint products in just one year?

I'm including all the bullion eagles from all the mints, all the commemorative programs, the proofs, the reverse proofs, and all the circulating issues as well as those that don't?

It's gotta be some major bucks.

How I long for ordering a mint set and a proof set and maybe one or two commemorative issues and being all done.

When this made to order "stuff" just keeps pouring out of the mints how can you get excited about any of it.

Best coin design I've seen from the mint in years! Too bad it's not in silver so I could buy one. If it was a prototype ASE design, silver would have made more sense.

It will not cost me anything as I will not be acquiring this.

Silver would have been a nice option, but I do not think they had the authority.

I'm just not sure about the face on Liberty. I'm not sure if I like it or not. But that eagle. WOW.
