I recently purchased this coin in a bargain bin. It was labeled as a "cracked skull" error. It's in pretty rough shape, but it does appear to have some extra material along the hairline. Does anyone have any information about this error (or if it is an actual error)?

I'm pretty new to coin photography so I'm sorry about the quality of the images. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm also sorry that I can't get the entire coin in the frame - my microscope is optimized to looking at much smaller things than cents.

Thanks for the help!

It's an actual error, but not worth much. I have a few of these.

It's a die crack and is very common - not worth any premium value.
