I have had this 1944 Walking Liberty half dollar and it is in pretty good condition and I would like you guys to grade it please and be honest.

I don't think it is cleaned because it is not that shiny in person. The picture makes it look really shiny. It's not cleaned.

I think its not cleaned but I could be wrong. I think the grade is VF-35 though.

It might also be noted that the potential value difference on this coin between cleaned (non-abrasively) and not cleaned is probably not all that great.

Firstly, welcome to the forum and the community.

Secondly, how can you guys even begin to tell the person his coin is cleaned? People come here looking for learned opinions to base value on. Because pictures taken with a cell phone from far away in a shadow without adequate light make it look like it has no lustre, so you immediately tell the person it's been dipped? A little irresponsible.

It is hard to determine grade from pictures to begin with, but in order to give a more generally accurate opinion, we really need close up pictures with a better light source (no shadows over the coin).

Can't say if it's cleaned or not, but the breastplate is still defined and isn't worn flat to the torso, so it would be an EF coin with that...IMO.
