36 auctions have ended for this since 12:15 on ebay. They are flying off there.

Quote: Hey Atlas, glad to hear you got yours! So what happened to the other 180 sets they didn't sell? Or have they already been sold? Teach, they did the same thing for Truman. I believe they save a buffer for any returns or shipping issues but I could be wrong.

To grade or not to grade? That is thy question.

So on the mints website, on order history it says 'processing' but when I go into the order, it says "Order Status: ON HOLD "
And my credit card does not appear to have been charged yet.
And the email I got was not a confirmation, just an 'order acknowledgment' that says
"We are currently processing your recent catalog.usmint.gov order. You should receive a confirmation E-mail in the next 24 hours with more details. "
ugh.

Yeah, normally a buffer for returns and what not.
So, here's an update on my predicament (if anyone cares):
Received order placed email at 11:05 CST. Then received an email saying my order could not be completed at 11:34. That's when I tried calling the Mint to confirm but got disconnected three time. At 11:41, I received an order confirmation email for my two sets, further confusing me.
Finally got through to customer service and spoke with a nice agent there. Apparently, there was an issue with the credit card used (even though I had confirmed I had enough credit to cover both the sets and shipping. I'm unsure how the mint can confirm an order without first confirming payment.
Anyway, after trying the credit card again with no luck (possibly charging twice?), I asked to use a debt card and gave her my information. That went on through and now the order is processing once again (it was once on hold after the credit card issue). I was then told to call back in a day or two, so I don't know what will happen now.
Thanked her for her time and help. As of 12:06, the order still shows processing on the website, although you never truly "have" the set until it's in hand.

After countless "reloads" and glitches my order placed right at the last secounds of 12:08 is 034488XX for those wondering where your order is in line. And as someone with banking knowledge to those of you that have 2 charges listed I will try and explain. This is NOT the mint's fault exactly. It depends on how your financial institution handles "pre authorizations". MOST institutions can distinguish the difference and you will only have one charge pending...however there are some banking systems out there that will look at a pre authorization and an actual charge when the order is confirmed as two different transactions and will hold the funds twice for a period of a day to three days. Just FYI I know two local banks here are Regions (which does hold funds twice) and Wells Fargo (which does not) This will explain some of the double charges but not all of them I'm sure.

I see that sealed boxes are bringing a bigger premium but, wouldn't it have sensitive information, like your invoice from the mint?
