My order # is 034502XX and pending c/c charge. I went the $4.95 shipping route too.

Well this certainly was a doozy. The ebay prices are rising to near $400 for each set... who knows if they sell that high and if so for how long...

For the Kennedy set, depend on the HH limit, we have to calculate how many possible orders, then estimate the sold out time from there.

I am sure it will be sold out, considering all the factors that's similar to the Ike set + larger collector base.

Ok, it's official. I need to move this from the Truman thread and put it where it belongs

Well, I don't see Jbuck going on a murderous rampage, so he must have got his set!
Yes! I got the e-mail notification while I was at lunch. Clicking the link in Order History goes to the order instead of back to the Order History page.

Took a while, the WOPR is only a tick faster than the mint website.

Glad you got it.

I was going to post a clip, but Mr. Broderick says something that would not be appropriate for our audience.

Like the guy watching the WOPR during the final launch scene, I could just imagine some guy at the Mint's data center running around crazy, watching the lights dim, and hearing UPS overload alarms during that 15 minute window today.

Nah. The mints IT staff were out to lunch.

They are government employees after all.

Interesting, I now have two pending charges on my card as well.

I am not too worried though. I always have duplicate pending entries when I get gas (one is verify the card before dispensing, the other is actual charges).

The extra charge is NOT a preauth. It's an actual charge. My daughter just left me a voicemail. Between all the cuss words, I could make out- declined...grocery store...your darn coins...

I wonder what happens if you have enough funds to cover the cost of the actual purchase but not both charges..will they cancel your order?

So I got my two sets at about 12:05 after two or three tries for it to go thru. I then logged out and back in with my father-in-laws account to get his sets for him(he works nights and sleeps days). I get it added to cart and tell it checkout and have to hit the button like 30 times before it goes to the checkout. It lets me pick his credit card on file and then when it adds the name and number to the order the CC number is gone. I don't know his card number just the 3 digit code from the back. I can't load it by hand and it would not drop it in when I clicked on the saved card in the account. I do this for about 5 minutes and at 12:12 it drops the card number in and I hit the button to order. It jumps to the top of the page and said to remove the items as they are no longer offered! Looks like I will be back on tomorrow trying to get his sets. Lost out over a glitch in the system.

As for the two charges, I think that was my issue: two charges pushed me over my credit limit (had enough to cover two sets plus a little extra, but not for two charges), so they flagged it for payment issues.

So I called and gave them my debit card info and now there's a charge on the debit card.

If you were $116 from maxing out your CC then you probably shouldn't be buying anything.....

Just a thought...
