Just looked at one of my Ike's in detail and it looks like an indented hole on the reverse underneath the torch. Is this considered anything special?

I do not think it is anything special as one of my coins has the same thing. I could be wrong though.

That depression is what I call a divot. Both my dollars, and one of the medals, have the same problem on the reverse.

I've seen small hits like that on the reverse of every one I've seen so far. Neither of my sets are 70 material either, but they were both ok. I'm not sending anything back.

Cascade is laying down the pop culture references. No change in status. I guess the crew in the Queen City if off for the weekend.

HSN has ANACS 69/69 sets for $599. This is $220 more than they are asking for the Truman set.

I didn't check this morning, but I'd be surprised if there were any more.

Quote:Some Website problems The Aug. 11 sales were not executed without technical difficulties with the website at http://www.usmint.gov. Adam Stump, deputy director of the Mint's Office of Corporate Communications, issued the following statement at 1:45 p.m. ET Aug. 11: "The main United States Mint web page, http://www.usmint.gov, was down from 12:04 p.m. to 12:21 p.m. due to an issue with a computer application unrelated to the launch of the 2015 Coin & Chronicles set — Dwight D. So, NO hh limits set yet for kennedy or LBJ. Interesting... Quote: Jon Cameron, the Mint's acting associate director of sales and marketing, said Aug. 11 that at the time of the June 30 sellout of the Truman set, the 17,000-set limit was already established. The decision was then made to increase the product limits for the Kennedy and Johnson sets, Cameron said. Whether sales of the Kennedy and Johnson sets will have household ordering limits has not been disclosed.

I wonder what kind of HHL strategy the Mint is trying to cook up now? I received my sets yesterday and they look great!

I have to say that I am very disappointed in the quality of the reverse proofs in this set. Here is a picture, I wish I was able to return this set, but I will be obligated to note this on an ebay listing. Maybe I should just keep it and see where the prices end up. I doubt I will ever lose money on it, but maybe holding is a better strategy.

Ouch, looks like Ike got into a bar fight. What is that? Almost looKS like a strikethrough, maybe a small blob of grease? Doesn't quite look like a hit. Can we get better pics under indirect light to reduce glare using a 10x or better loupe if you got one
Oh and are you sure that's not black fuzz from packaging on the reverse?
