So since I'm going to a coin show tomorrow I thought it would be a good idea to share this story. So when I went to my first convention it was in Austin. I was nervous and very exited. So when I arrived I payed the 3$ fee and went in. I walked around talked to some people bought some coins, Then I walked up on this old gentleman. [low 90's] And I'm going to be honest I was about to call the cops he looked dead So I tapped on his shoulder a couple times and said. Sir Sir. Then he pulled a note out of his pocket that read: If your reading this I'm sleeping pick out what you like and put the money on the table Don't steal anything or my dog will bark. I looked under the table and there was the smallest dog Ive ever seen taking a nap on a blanket. I stand up and read the note one more time. Since I didn't want to wake him I go to the bathroom and laugh so hard I start crying. So, that's my coin show story.

Trust me he's watching you with one eye open. It's his way of getting people to pay full price without negotiating while being funny, there by making people WANT to buy something. I must say this is EXTREMELY clever!

I love this story. If you had tried to take his coin without paying, that little dog would have turned into a Doberman and chewed you up! Ha!

If the guy was asleep he sure was not when he pulled that note out of his pocket.

Better than some of those dealers at shows I go to. $3 entry? By me almost all shows are free.
Rest in Peace

I don't suppose he was wearing a Sombrero, was he? That just sticks in my mind as the perfect hat for him to wear. He could even stick the note in his hat band!
