Guys, I just got this from a bank last night, and once I had it in my hands, I noticed the writing on the side.

so who wants to bet there is a 1969 large date in this roll?

should I keep it as is, or open it up?

Always open. Better to know than always be guessing IMO. Nice!

And if someone pays $1000, opens it, and doesn't find that elusive large date, they'll want a refund and if you don't give it to them, you get a negative.

OPEN IT!!!!!

The reason thr 1969 LD is so expensive is because it's super hard to find. So the chnace of finding it is really low. The question is, are you willing to go all in and lose or make a couple hundred dollars on a roll you paid face value for?

hmmm... well if you could make a thousand (or even a couple hundred) for something paid at face value that would be an awesome deal... but then imagine if that coin (I know nothing about canadian coinage) was in there, wouldn't you be better off if you found it? Also if the ebayers refund it... well if it returns opened I am not sure what you would do but am sure you would have some counter-measures to that. Up to you sir but I would open it since I am so curious I would die not knowing if that rare coin was in there or not. Good luck!

It's simple: open it, find a lot of large dates and send everyone that commented here 1 of them, hahahaha!!

I would open it, like others said if you sold it and the buyer didn't get it, I bet you wouldn't get positive feedback and possibly have to refund the purchase because the buyer was not satisfied.

I would open it. Who knows, maybe the whole thing is large dates!!
