This is my first coin purchase for the new year (and my first ever Trade dollar) - been needing it for my 7070 album, so.....nice way to start 2008.
Not having any experience with this type coin, I'm a mite unsure about the grade. I've got the ANA Standards and Photograde, but everytime I think I've got it nailed down, I see something else that causes me to change my opinion.
The posted pics are the sellers, not mine - figured it'd be easier to form an opinion using them rather than a scan from my outfit.
Help.

I followed the instructions to the letter as to how to upload photos, but, once again, I was unable to do it right, I guess. Must be childproof. Trying it the old way.

You left the quotes around the url, that's why it didn't work.

I'm seeing some decent wear on the face, chest, and wing tops, I'd give it a EF-45.

Bobby, I kept everything from the first parenthesis in front of the http through the bracket following the last parenthesis. In your tip on posting photos, that is what is highlighted, so that is what I kept. Now, what part of it should I not have kept?
I know even less about computers than I do anout coin collecting, so I need to be walked through most things.

I think EF-45 is an appropriate grade.

I know nothing of this series, so will not give it a grade, but I will say that if it looks as good in hand as in the seller's pics, you've got a nice additiion to your 7070! I would love to have as nice a specimen some day.

Okay - thanks for the grade estimates. It would seem that everyone agrees on EF-45.
Now, another question - would the noticable rim damage be cause for dropping it down one grade?

You are referring to the 9 o'clock one on the obverse?

I took that in consideration for the grade.

Okay Vaslin - thanks.

I've often wondered about things like that - rim damage, scratches, cleaning, etc. - how they affect the grade of a coin. I would assume that there is no set standard for such things, but I still wonder - get a few more years under my belt, and I may understand all the little ins and outs of this fantastic hobby a little better.
