Looks like it took a hit early on and circulation smoothed it out

Yes to chip or broken post in "B", yes to PSD on the "7", but what happened to Lincoln's shrunken head? Any damage on the reverse? Thanks, Doug.

I looked on the back, no damage. I guess it just had light damage on the front. There does seem to be some what I think to be md around the one cent area and a few other places. Tomorrow I'm finishing my next picture batch, I'll throw this one in and post it here. PSD night for me tonight, but tomorrow is another day.

Did you notice it's also been cleaned, too? Most likely they used the ketchup technique. It's too bright to be a lemon juice treatment.

with ketchup. I used ketchup on a 1911 cent when I was new to coins.

Hmmm... some coins have to be cleaned or they never stand a chance at being worth more than face. I only have Miracle Whip, but probably same result. I'll try it on one that really needs it. Thanks for the tip, John1.
Halo1st, I did shoot the reverse on this one but not worth posting - no damage.
Thanks all, gonna post some good one tonight.

CoinMasters, No contact damage makes me think Grease Filled Die on sunken head. Thanks, Doug.

PS: No condiments unless your planning to sell scratch and sniff coins on ebay.

Thanks for the tip, John1.
I was not and am not recommending mayo to clean coins,I was just kidding around. I have done it just to see what happens to a copper cent in the past. Not good results.

No worries, John1, I would never attempt cleaning any coin that has a potential of real value.
