These things have been around forever. Few, if any, are marked as copies. It is one of those "coins" which are constantly and forever thought to be real by an unknowing owner.
Yes, it should be marked copy.
However, anyone with a little experience would hesitate to buy this as real, I would hope. If nothing else, the adage about not buying a really expensive coin without
TPG recognition (even if you want to bust it out later) is a good one.
If you have any experience involving the early or colonial coinage, this "coin" wouldn't fool you for a moment.
If you don't have that experience, then it is possible to spend a few dollars on this junk.
BUT REMEMBER - sometimes getting burned (by your own inexperience) for a little will help you learn the ropes and keeps you from getting burned a lot.
Doing is always more educational that saying.
