Since they have been out of print for a while, a new one for under $100 is a deal. Used ones can be found for less.

A lightly used example can sometimes be found in the $60-$70 range. $100 for a new one isn't outrageous.
You might consider a partially complete book. Sometimes, considering what could be included, you can find a 7070 that has some of the coins already included for a good combined price.

Instead of faking coins China could make a killing bootlegging Dansco 7070 albums.
Or better yet Dansco could make a killing reprinting their 7070 albums.

Seems like everyone is missing the opportunity here.

Or maybe CCF should create a 7070 version for members to buy. Contract dansco to design and manufacture it .. Problem solved We'll trick them into creating updated version

Sadly, that will still probably fail to work.

I'm surprised they sell for so much, I've been watching them on ebay and there steadily available. When did they go out of print?

About 2.5 years ago I first heard of the Dansco 7070 shortage here on CCF, so I started keeping an eye out for them, I've only found a few since and they were all priced at over $70.00, I did run into a dealer at a small local show, that had many Dansco albums for sale, I asked him about the 7070, his reply?
"You're like the fifth person that suddenly wants them, what's is up with that? I sold the six I had yesterday to one guy."
"How much were you asking for them?"
"I sold them all for $100.00 since they are out of print, why?"
When I told him what they were selling for he looked shocked, wish I had been by his table the day before. Ever since I've only seen one at a show for sale, and it was beat up, price was $90.00, it might have been worth $25-30 as it was in such bad shape.
Too bad Dansco doesn't get their act together and make these again, though I think after a run or two, the demand would fall off again.
