I have ordered one in proof, BUT, like the rest of you, no luck with the mint. I ordered one through a third party. Well the mint saw fit to cancel the one I had on order from them still waiting on the "why" But on the other hand I received the one I ordered from a dealer in so-cal it is very nice and I am pleased. so here it is!

I have the "set" too....and I still say that each one is SOOOOO beautiful !!..... But that Bald Eagle Silver Dollar...... man ! It's still one of the most eye appealing coins I've ever seen !!.....Best purchase I've made in a long long time ....IMHO.... Don't know what their value is selling for on ebay right now..(anybody know if it's more than issue price?).. don't really care, but I was hoping they'd be one of those "special" ones that would keep climbing in value through the decades !... ....wait and see I guess.

You are right, eaglefoot, it is a beautiful coin. I like all the modern commemoratives. I bought a NGC69 John Marshall today for $36 and can't wait to get it. I missed bidding on a PCGS69 Botanical Gardens, and it went for $30. Lists in the Red Book for $50 - wish I would have stayed on top of that one! I do have a bald eagle, but I think I'd like to have one Proof, and one MS. They are nice.

Yeah.....I've only got a few "older" commemoratives and I want so many more of them !!... The Ultra Moderns are low mintage and very eye appealing so, I like em' a bunch !!........Some are turned off by these "new" ones for various reasons... ....but......
