I'm hoping you can all supply me with your thoughts on a grade for this 1912-P Lincoln. I have an opportunity to pick this one up and greatly improve my current grade. Thanks in advance..

Nice overall strike..63-64 brown range. The reverse might garnish a details grade because it looks like it had a old cleaning way back when.

This is one impossible to judge by the given pictures, I can't see any cartwheel spokes and that's what's needed to tell if it's AU or MS. There appears to be a bit of rub on the wheat lines, cheek, jaw, lapel and temple....but it could be the toning. If you look at the PCGS Photograde pictures, this could be MS-62. At the same time, it could be one you send to PCGS expecting an MS grade and it comes back AU-55.
I'd go for it if the price is at the AU level.

Thanks BadThad... I was able to get it below AU-50 price. So I went for it. I appreciate the comments...

Coin looks like it was cleaned and an attempt to tone it back to normal color failed. not much wear at all .I'll say AU-55. sorry, but I have a hang up about off colored Wheaties.

After viewing the coin in person I can tell you the coin has not been cleaned or recolored. This was purchased from a major dealer in Chicago so I was able to talk with them and view the coin in hand before making the purchase. It looks so good in hand I was actually surprised because I thought the pictures might have been off a little. It's a beautiful coin in hand and it's an awesome upgrade for the one I had.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts on this one. It's truly appreciated.

Looks original to me, I see no evidence of cleaning.
