A clearer picture would help, but from what I can tell it isn't a coin. Looks like some type of token. I'm going to move this over to the Unidentified section. It's not ancient nor do I believe it's medieval.

I think that is a religous medal. One side looks like the last supper. The other side is I think the anuciation, or whatever they called it when the angel came down and told Mary she was prego with god's kid.

Agreed on religious token; probably made privately by a relative amateur. To be honest, I can't make heads or tails out of the top picture aside from the cross; the bottom probably is the Annunciation.
An affirmative ID is probably going to be impossible, but this looks like the type of thing I would expect from a circa 1800s blacksmith or apprentice with too much time on his hands, probably made for a gift or personal use.

As I said in the other thread where you posted pictures of this piece, while it was still in the 2x2 that said "ancient coin", it's not ancient, and not a coin. It clearly has a religious theme as mentioned above, but I'm wondering if it's a lead seal. The "stripe" going roughly from top to bottom in the bottom picture may be where the string inside the seal has been pulled out. Is there any chance of taking it out of the 2x2 and getting a picture of the edge, particularly at the top and bottom?

These are the best pictures I could take of the top and bottom.

Looking at the top picture more closely, I would bet it's a crude rendering of the "pietà" when Jesus was lowered from the cross by a sash and given to Mary to be buried. Together with the depiction of the Annunciation, this would be a (probably Catholic) medal to commemorate Mary from the conception through the death of Jesus.

I think the top picture is a somewhat crudely rendered ecclesiastical coat of arms.
The "holes" in the edge as shown in the latest pics do look to me like seal cord holes. I'm standing by "lead seal" as a working assumption for this piece.

Are there collectors for this type of thing? I mean, I personally love the look of it. Even if there's no way to really tell when/where it's from.
