I do need help with this 1775 English halfpenny error!

The King's incuse image appears, reversed, under the normally struck image of a seated woman. (The back of his head and his hair ribbon can be easily seen).

Is the incuse image under the coin's struck reverse due to a Die Clash, or was an Obverse Brockage's incuse side overstruck with a reverse Die?

Thanks for your help,
Bill

The normal date appears below seated Britannia, which puts it, of course, over the incuse King's head. No other sign of a date, which makes sense in either case (clash or brockage).

Nope, this is IMO a strong die clash, too sharp to be the above mentioned. I call it a clash because there are design elements in the deepest parts.
