I'm really happy with this purchase! I'm happy with this coin, I'm happy with it's holder, and I'm happy with it's grade.

But I wanted to share it with you all and see what your thoughts are on it's grade. Thanks in advance for your input.

I'll venture a 64. A fair amount of chattering, but great eye-appeal.
Rest in Peace

Wow ... very lovely coin with tremendous eye appeal.

Excellent photographs ... the color and luster are amazing ... if those are your photos you can justifiably be very proud!

Technical grade IMHO is not a result of eye appeal ... rather surface chatter marks.

For a lesser coin I would go MS64 ... for this one I suggest the TPG went MS65.

Well, I think this Columbian has such great eye appeal that it is difficult to get a tight consensus on it's grade. Thank you everyone for giving your opinions and input. I've taken the average grade between the different forums that I'm active in and the results are as follows:
64.40 - Coin Community
63.36 - Collectors Society
63.09 - Collectors Universe
64.33 - Coin Talk

63.80 - Overall Avg

This coin is actually in an old ACG holder and I picked it up for a great price! I like it in it's current holder and plan on keeping it there while I own it. I do believe it's graded super conservative, and I've actually printed a label and added my grade onto the holder, lol. I don't normally do this, but think it was needed for this beauty. I've graded it MS-63#8902;

Thanks again everyone!

Might not be worth another TPG fee. But a real beauty for sure.

My thoughts exactly. I'm okay with knowing it's a higher quality coin than the label ;) Then again, I'm also happy with raw coins in my collection too!

Nice coin for sure.

I got mine from Grandma that she got at the worlds fair back in 1892 or 93 when she was young. Also a 1913P Buffalo type I she got when it was new and still is UNC.

Started me on coin collecting.

A little tarnished on the edges, but definitely MS-63 all the way. Nice find!
