I have a bunch of junk silver in my save and some .999 bullion. I have a small silica gel brick you bake to reset. It claims to dehumidify 3 square feet. I have a 1 square foot safe. Would that keep most of the silver safe? Also, If I want to protect my dansco 7070 from nastiness, would I seal it in a plastic bag? If so, witch kind? Are coins in plastic tubes safe? Sorry for all the questions. I just want to be safe even outside my safe.
Rest in Peace

SSK ,,I hear storing coins and albums in food storage bags with zip lock is very safe.
these bags do not contain PVC... the silica packs are good to keep out humidity. your safe will have good protection with it... I use Whitman clear round plastic tubes for my bu rolls of Lincolns... some members prefer the square non clear tubes. because they are easy to stack with out falling over. but I hear because of their soft plastic
(PVC ?) That it's not good for bu coins. ,, your call !

A 7070 will fit into a 2 gallon zip lock bag but not the 1 gallon. Most stores sell the 2 gallon but they are a little harder to find than the 1 gallon.

I put my Dansco albums, mint sets, and 2x2 and other assorted coins in zip lock bags along with a desiccant pack in each; then I also have a desiccant pack in the safe as well.
