I came across a book on world war 2 propaganda posters in a local used book store. These three posters were in it. I thought id share with everyone.

Cool. Thinking it is World War I though based on dates on the coins and uniform of the French soldier.

Always the language collector I puzzled over the French poster.
And over the British poster as well.
Gold was currently in circulation during WWI. I originally thought that the poster meant to turn in one's gold. However, I think that both "Sovereign" and "Or" [gold]
mean simply "money." Very poetically put.

The French reads "Gold fights for victory."

Fast forward to WWII America - "Buy Bonds"

Kenkat, I think you are right. The book had mostly wwii posters but these do look like wwi era.

Thedollarman, those are some nice ones as well. I like seeing them in color.
