I purchased this 1920 as an upgrade for my album. It still has some luster through the patina, and is very well struck. Your thoughts are appreciated!

Agree, either 63/4 BN or, possibly, a slider 58. Nice coin.

AU-62
Lots of rim distractions and field chatter, makes me think it could be AU. It comes down the cartwheel luster under that brown....I can can't see that in pictures.

The rims are largely ignored by most....but they can provide clues. Look at the rims on this similar MS brown coin and compare to your coin. You'll easily see what I mean.

I hope I'm not a bother posting these coins to be graded, but I learn something with nearly every one I post. Thanks to everyone, and keep teaching!

I have no idea what an AU62 grade is.

"AU62" is a term Thad (and I) use to describe sliders. The coin seems to have technical merit equaling the numerical grade, but we can't quite get over subjective, near-subconscious hints that the coin has circulated. Kind of hedging our bets when grading. Although tongue in cheek, I use it with perfect seriousness according to a strict ruleset. For instance, I'll rarely use it in a range outside 62-65. Lower, and the circulation is either obvious or the coin too marred to be sure either way; higher, and it's too obviously Mint State. To complicate things (what fun are uncomplicated things? ), it could also be used to describe a plainly AU coin with extraordinary eye appeal.

I see something that could be luster, but thers a lot of chatter and marks on the coin. Hmm... I'll take a stab at AU-58
