I still think the toning is playing tricks with what we see, but the more I study the face, the more she looks like Whistler's mother. Maybe you're right.

Looks real to me. Thinking the "2" looks distorted through the Mylar. I'd say it's a nicely toned MS-65. It really is pushing Full Bands IMHO. Would have to see it in person with my 30x loupe!

Ha, this has turned into an interesting discussion! I got my loupe out again and I can confirm that the little "spot" on the 2 and weird distortion around the numbers is due to the toning.

I think it's real and a well-struck, toned MS64 (no FB due to hits on bands.) Go compare it to Photograde and check the hair detail between a PCGS MS-64, 65 or 66 and OP's coin.

Alright, that last picture does it. It's real. What a difference lighting makes though!
