I'll start off with MS-64, not FSB.

the date looks odd. what's going on with the reverse at (AM)ERICA? grade guess is lower end MS, not quite enough luster or at least from these pics, peeking through to give it a Choice UNC

I don't believe this coin is genuine. As dsfreeworld stated, the date looks off, and the rims seems weird as well. The details are too good to be true in spots, such as on mercury's head. Can we get close-ups of the date?

I'm with Rollsearcher , liberty's wing over detailed for rest of coin. and something about that date, makes me look at it way too long...IMO

Yeah, I'm on the 'not real' train also.

Liberty's wing is too crisp. Something is goofy.

MS64 here as well. Not quite enough meat for FSB.

Not sure why someone would fake a 1929, but here's a closeup. Date looks alright to me. First pic might be causing some weird effect on the date.

much better look at the date. that first pic was a mind trick! I'm back in the authentic camp and at MS63.

I'm more certain than ever this is a fake. I don't like that date at all, and there is something about the details on lady liberty that doesn't sit right with me either. The rims seem overly thin compared to any genuine Mercury dimes I've ever seen. I made side-by-side comparisons of this coin next to genuine examples. Does anyone else agree that it looks suspicious?

I have to agree with you Rollsearcher37, unless it's an optical illusion, Liberty's face on the coin in question seems to sag down a bit, particularly the nose and chin, it just doesn't look right. I agree, why would they make a common counterfeit, but we've seen plenty of them.
