I am just in the process of returning my first coin today. I purchased the "Fine Silver Coin - The Universe" subscription and when I got the first one, I was appalled at how ugly and cheap looking it was. A piece of plastic glued onto a coin. I phoned and canceled the subscription and got a mailing label in an email. Off to the post office in a few minutes.

Other people seem to like this coin, so probably it is just me. I was looking forward to it since Astronomy is my thing.

I don't think you will be the only one. It looked really nice on the mint website but I saw this coin in person yesterday at a Canada Post outlet and I probably had the same reaction that you did. Good luck with the return!

Even assuming that all circulation coins for Canada and other countries minted in Winnipeg, still the amount of NCLT and bullion is huge

Agreed. The varieties are considerable! With each flock of new releases almost every month I wonder how this tempo can be sustained. At some point the buyers will be so overwhelmed and confused that sales will stall and ultimately the entire pipeline will jam.

I think it has already started, hence maybe why the RCM decided to go with the 1/4oz gold coin's.
You can't flood the market and except everything to sell out, sooner or later your going to run out of excellent idea's to put on a coin.

Got my refund today, 2 weeks to the day.
What happens to these damaged returns? Do they get melted and taken out of the mintage or sell to another unsuspecting buyer?
