Okay, I'm new too, but I cheated and looked at some of his old posts. I still cannot hazard a guess! But given what 1sikevo just said, I'm thinking copper, so I'm leaning toward some sort of Half Cent or large cent.

Since it is not a 3CN, how about a 1855 3 cent silver

Oooo....I'm looking for a nice 1855 3CS as an upgrade. Those things are also near impossible to find in great, circulated shape. But...alas....not the coin. Great guess, though!

How about a 1877 CC Twenty Cent Piece, since you seem to like the odd denominations ?

Was the last one hotter or colder ? I'm still thinking copper but I thought I'd take a stab with an odd denomination.

If it's obvious, it must be an 1875-CC Twenty Cent Piece!
