coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/24/2015 11:11 pm I believe this is a left over die scratch that hasn't faded as much in cent of the mint mark as it has already faded on the fields. The die scratches fade quicker in the open fields and next to the devices and inside the devices they remain. If you rotated the coin a bit and took another image of the date area with the light falling across that area, the die scratches will be seen. Not a RPM. Just die scratches.
