Back in '64 you could still get silver quarters, but the average allowance for those not old enough to have a paper route was 10 to 25 cents per week. And you had to earn it. In '68, I started working in a hospital kitchen for 65 cents per hour. That would be equal to about 1/2 oz. silver if paid in dimes and quarters.
Think about that. For an hours work, you could buy a half ounce of silver. That is less than today's minimum wage. Silver is cheaper today.
The question is what are you doing about it today, and how will you view today's market 50 years from now?
